Clinical Information:
Method is Roche hs Troponin T at all WRHA/DSM sites and Westman Lab.
Test Indications: Troponin T testing is used to identify myocardial necrosis as an aid in the differential diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome. It may also be used for risk stratification and monitoring of patients with acute coronary syndrome.
Patient Preparation Instructions: This test is unaffected by multivitamins (45–125 µg biotin) or biotin-only supplements.

24 hours refrigerated, 1 year frozen

Samples must be transferred to an aliquot tube and stored frozen if analysis will not be complete within 48 hours (#110-10-05 Serum / Plasma Separation Procedure & Transport)
