Clinical Information:
Rasburicase protocol for Uric Acid is for the determination of uric acid levels in patients treated with rasburicase. 
The sample must be placed on ice and analyzed promptly to prevent exvivo metabolism of uric acid by rasburicase.
Collection Devices:
Place on ice and send to Biochemistry Laboratory for prompt analysis.
Specimen Required:


Plasma: 2.0 mL
Pediatric Plasma: 0.2 mL
Referral:

In-patients only.  If uric acid analysis is not available on site, test is not available.

0 - 12 y: 120-330 μmol/L                                           
Male ≥ 13 y: 180-420
Female ≥ 13 y: 120-360
