Clinical Information:
Flow Cytometric analysis of FNA and body fluid specimens will be performed if requested by a pathologist or hematopathologist after cytologic assessment.
 
Please notify HSC Flow Cytometry Laboratory (787-1986) of FNA and  fluid immunophenotyping specimen submissions.  Differential diagnosis or relevant clinical information is required.
 
FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION (FNA)/ FLUIDS:
Submit the following with the FNA or Fluid specimen:    Representative stained slide (PAP and/or Giemsa) which will be returned with the report.
Please label the slides with name, collection data and indicate number of slides submitted on the requisition.
FNA and Fluids should be stored refrigerated (NOT FROZEN) unless processed immediately.
