Alternate Name: Antemortem Specimens for Forensic Toxicology Cases

Description: Test code is to be used for tracking specimens that have been previously accessioned on patients that are now deceased. These samples are to be sent to the Toxicology Lab for forensic case investigations. 

Test Indications: Retention of samples has been requested for a Medical Examiner investigation. 

Recommendations: Requests for submission of specimens are typically by the pathologist or Medical Examiner Investigator assigned to the case. Any blood, plasma, serum and urine specimens can be submitted together in a plastic specimen bag. Clinical results to be printed and included with specimens submitted.
