Description: A direct antiglobulin test detects antibodies or complement attached to red cells in the patient’s circulation, aiding in the diagnosis of immune-related causes of red-cell destruction
Specimen is processed and kept for 72 hrs from date of collection. During this time, a physician or authorized practitioner may request units to be cross-matched from that specimen.
