Test performed at  St. Boniface Hospital Immunology Lab using a multiplex method.  SSB (La) is found in patients with connective tissue diseases, most commonly Sjogren’s Syndrome and Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).

Separate serum; store and ship aliquot refrigerated.  Do NOT freeze.

Negative = 0 - 0.9 AI

A negative result does not necessarily exclude autoimmune disorder.  Positive results should not be interpreted in isolation and must be correlated with relevant clinical findings.
