Clinical Hematology consult required prior to collection.  Test performed at HSC Haemostasis Laboratory (Hematopathology)

Specimen Required:
Plasma: 4.0 mL
Pediatric Plasma: 2.0 mL

NaCitrate Tubes: Centrifuge according to lab's current process for coagulation sample.  Remove plasma with transfer pipette. Do not disturb buffy coat. Place in plastic tube and re-centrifuge, capped.  Remove plasma again leaving small portion and aliquot into four (4) plastic tubes, cap and indicate "spun x 2" on labels.  Freeze immediately at -20°C.  Transport frozen on ice.
