Clinical Information;
Include: Patient Preparation Instructions: Patient should avoid food high in indoles: avocados, banana, tomato, plum, walnut, pineapple, and eggplant. Over-the-counter intake of tryptophan or 5-hydroxytryptophan will also produce elevated urine HIAA. Patient should also avoid tobacco, tea and coffee for three days prior to specimen collected. |
