Specific collection protocol is required (A set of 5 tubes containing various preservatives, marked for volume of CSF, prepared in advance). Specimens must be kept on ice and transported to lab immediately.
Neurotransmitter metabolites does not include *MTHF or *Neopterin tests. Testing lab can suggest to physician that MTHF and/or Neopterin be added based on results obtained from Neurotransmitter metabolites. |
