The Chromogenic Factor IX assay is used only for monitoring of extended half life Factor IX products. |

Specimen Required: |
Plasma: 1.0 mL
NaCitrate Tubes: Centrifuge according to lab's current process for coagulation sample. Remove plasma with transfer pipette. Do not disturb buffy coat. Place in plastic tube and re-centrifuge, capped. Remove plasma again leaving small portion and aliquot into plastic tube, cap and indicate "spun x 2" on labels. Freeze immediately at -20°C. Transport frozen on ice. |
