Cerebrospinal Fluid: 1.0 mL
Pediatric Cerebrospinal Fluid: 1.0 mL
Sample Stability: 12 hours post collection. Sample Requirements: Sample to be kept at room temperature (18-22 Celsius). Sample should be shipped immediately to Hematology Laboratory at room temperature. If requesting RBC counts for subarachnoid hemorrhage investigation, collect an extra tube and submit Tube 1 and Tube 4 of total CSF collection clearly labelled for this purpose. Third tube in collection is preferred for standard testing. Deliver immediately to laboratory. |
