Clinical Information:

Hematopathologist (HP) on Hemostasis service or HP on-call must provide approval prior to sample collection unless ordered by a Clinical Hematologist.

Test performed at McMaster Platelet Immunology Lab

Collection Devices:

Preferred Device:	2 - Na Citrate 1.8mL Tube(s) - Full Tube Collection - 2 x 10 mL Red Top Tube
Alternate Device:	2 - Na Citrate 2.7 mL Tube(s) - Full Tube Collection - 2 x 10 mL Red Top Tube

Specimen Required:

Plasma: 2.0 mL

Serum: 12.0 mL

NOTE: Both plasma and serum collection are mandatory.

If approved, spin sample once and aliquot sample into another tube.

Freeze aliquots at -70°C
