Test Name:
COMPREHENSIVE DRUG SCREEN - (U)
Test Code: DRUG
Clinical Information:
Immunoassay drug screens or physician office Point of Care (POC) drug screens are sufficient for most purposes; however if the results of these tests do not correlate with clinical information the comprehensive drug screen can be ordered as a follow up investigation. A comprehensive can also be ordered if drugs suspected are not included in the lists of drugs detected by the immunoassay (see hyperlink to these screens) or POC methods.  See below for list of drugs detected by this method, note this list is revised periodically.

Individuals taking street drugs are often taking multiple or combined drugs. Specific knowledge of exact drug taken rarely impacts medical care.

If purpose of testing is solely for monitoring Methadone use order Methadone Screen
