Test Indications: This test is used to confirm the positive MUCOPOLYSACCHARIDES Screen (MPS) by DMB, test done at HSC.
THIS IS A REFLEX TEST (Mayo Clinic Laboratories). This test cannot be ordered without PRE-APPROVAL by biochemical geneticist. This test includes MPS quantitative analysis and LC-MS/MS analysis. If the mucopolysaccharides screen (MPS) test by DMB done in HSC is negative but there are a strong clinical suspicion of a Mucopolysaccharidosis, please communicate with the biochemical geneticist |
