Clinical Information:
Chloride is the primary extracellular anion and has a role in maintenance of body water distribution, osmotic pressure and normal anion-cation balance. Measurement of urine chloride is important for the assessment of acid-base balance, water balance and dehydration.
Collection Devices:
Collect 24h urine without preservative.  Fresh random urine also acceptable.  Refrigerate 24h and random urine specimens until analysis.
Similar lab approved leak-proof containers acceptable.

Stability 7 days at room temperature, 6 months frozen
