Test Indications: This test is used for evaluating children with signs and symptoms of methylmalonic acidemia.
This test is also use for evaluating individuals with signs and symptoms associated with a variety of causes of cobalamin deficiency (vitamin B12). For pediatric patients < 19 years old: No restriction FOR ADULTS: This test is restricted to the following specialities: hematology, oncology, neurology and genetics. For other specialities: This test MUST BE APPROVED by a clinical chemist prior to send out. Click here for the Approval for Test Referral Biochemistry for (F260-11-02).
