Reference Values:
Reference Intervals: <1:10 Titre (Negative)
A negative result does not necessarily exclude autoimmune disease.  Positive results should not be interpreted in isolation and must be correlated with relevant clinical findings.

Note: Levels may become undetectable after a gluten free diet is initiated.

Method of Analysis: Testing is performed using an Indirect Immunofluorescence assay (IFA).  This test kit is designed for the semiquantitative in vitro determination of human antibodies of immunoglobulin classes IgA against endomysium in patient samples.  Serum samples are initially screened at a 1:10 dilution.

Pediatric TTGA positive samples ≥10.0 AU/ml will automatically reflex to Endomysial antibody testing by immunofluorescence (all instances).

Adult TTGA positive samples in the range 10.0 – 100.0 AU/ml will automatically reflex to Endomysial antibody testing by immunofluorescence (first instance only).
