Description: GAD65 antibodies are associated with systemic autoimmune diseases, including type 1 diabetes mellitus, thyroiditis and pernicious anemia. At high levels, they may be associated with neurological autoimmunity.
This test should not be used to investigate CNS disorders, consult ANTI-GAD 65 (NEUROLOGICAL) - (S) (CSF) for more information. Test Approval Requirements: Test available to endocrinologists only.
