Clinical Information:
Description:  Useful for screening for congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) due to 21- or 11- hydroxylase deficiency in combination with testing for cortisol and androstenedione.
 
Testing may aid in evaluation of hirsutism and infertility in women.
 
Collection Devices:
EDTA plasma is also acceptable
Specimen Required:
Serum: 1.0 mL
Pediatric Serum: 1.0 mL

Volume: 1.0 mL (min 0.5 mL)
Special Processing: Separate serum from cells within 90 minutes of collection.
Specimen Stability: 
Refrigerated: 7 days
Frozen: 2 months
